Andrew and his Ugly Doll
So back when we were getting ready for Andrew and I set up the cradle in our room, I had it set very sweetly with the blanket I made and the Eeyore toy we got at Disney world. I put a picture on the blog. Let's flash back:
What I didn't tell you was that the next day I walked past to find this
in the cradle next to the cute baby toy. My husband put this Ugly Doll (that's the brand name, not a judgement) in to wait for the baby. Such is marriage.
Today Andrew was in his crib playing while I put away laundry and he found this silly toy. He LOVES it!
Guess Daddy knows what he's talking about.
Lisa has this great high chair with no tray that sits right up to the table. Baby loves it, and it makes him look so big.
I love that kid.

We went to Keira's birthday party today. She is 4 years old this week. We got some great pictures. Rob and Mara also announced the gender of their new addition, but you will have to visit their blog to find that out. ;)

A day with Grandma and Emily
Emily is now gone on her wild World Changers summer adventure. She is updating her blog (link to the right) now that she is on the road. Before she left last Sunday she spent almost two straight days with the boy, trying to soak up all the cuteness she could before they would be separated for ten weeks. She and Lisa didn't get much Done but play with the baby:

They played hard.
Papa Robins came over to see Em before she left. Andrew thinks Papa is the stuff. He is pretty fun.
Em, we miss you like crazy. It feels like you have been gone way longer than a week. Andrew and your mom and I took a vote and we think you should come home now. :-)

Fiddler's Grove
We went to Fiddler's Grove, a music festival in Union Grove, for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time, even though it was very hot! Andrew had some quality time with his Aunt Sara:
It was so hot in the afternoon we stripped him to his diaper. We had enough shade that we managed to keep him from getting sunburned, praise God.
Everything is more fun with him around.
On another note, we went for Andrew's 4 month check up this week. He is further down on the growth curve still, only in the 5th percentile, but his in the 10th for height, so he is proportionate. The doctor doesn't seem too worried, and let's face it: none of us are very big. Not only that, but he couldn't be more perfect developmentally. I am choosing not to worry and to trust God to grow Andrew into the size boy he wants him to be. :) The doctor thinks he will be an earlier teether based on the shape of his gums. Also he said we could start him on cereal when we are ready. We bought some at the store but I think we will wait until after school gets out (six. more. days.) before we try that out. Don't want to rush it. Basically the doctor confirmed what we already know: he is perfect and amazing and a wonder and we should be proud. We are. :)

A day with the Papas
Andrew and I spent the morning at my Nana and Papa's and the afternoon at his.
Andrew particularly loved the wind chime. Later that afternoon I came out on my parents' porch to find Daddy and Andrew doing the same thing. Andrew must have whispered in his ear.
Andrew loves music all of a sudden. He reaches for the instruments when we practice. I think he likes to feel the vibrations.
That boy has a great life.

Mommy and Daddy got Andrew a swing for their porch. Andrew loves it... We think.
Andrew wakes up so happy in his pack-and-play. No crying at all. I guess because he can see us when he wakes up.
Andrew loves to stand so much! He can stand on his own leaning up against the couch.
He thinks this is big stuff. :-)
