Mommy as a horsey. Sorry, there is no way to keep that from being blurry. :)
This video is just to show the enormous difficulty I have taking videos these days. Every time I get my phone out to take one he wants to watch one. (He is in my lap now, hoping when I stop typing he can see himself) Andrew was doing great at the slide a few weeks ago. I think I even posted a video of him climbing up and sliding down all by himself. But last week he fell backwards off the steps to it and he has been skittish of that last step ever since:
I realize this next video may not be interesting to anyone but Andrew's mother (or his grandmothers). Andrew loves putting keys in locks. This is our new favorite song: Bath time with Robin Andrew's new obsession is watching videos of himself. He begs for my phone all day long to see himself.
We had a great visit with Mom and Dad this week. Andrew wanted to drive the lawn mower. Mom wanted to let him. :)
Emily came home for a visit before her summer job and we had a lovely time. Andrew learned about Mario Kart. He put his (inactive) controller down to say "more" in sign language after every race.
I am at my mom's today (Happy Mother's Day, to all women everywhere, especially Andrew's wonderful grandmothers and great-grandmothers!), and I found tons of cute videos she took camping. I had to share:
Andrew, Papa, and Eric went on a hike. This time it didn't rain.
Last April we took Andrew camping and it was a blast. He needed help getting into the camping chair then:
But not this year!
He even had his own chair:
Andrew basically lived in the baby backpack on my dad's back. The first day they went out on a morning hike and there was a huge downpour. We had to go rescue them in the car:
He was excellent at collecting fire wood, with Aunt Robin's help of course. His favorite new word is "bubble" Papa let him drive. Seriously. He shucked corn with Uncle Adam:
