Camping

We went camping with Nana and Papa this weekend and had a grand time. Andrew was Nana's assistant in the kitchen all weekend.

We read a lot of books, including Papa's favorite: Are You My Mother?


There was lots to talk about:

and lots of camping jobs to do:

It's exhausting.

Big Doings

Andrew has been practicing his storytelling skills, of late. Here are some of the things that feature in his tales:


If you ever get a chance to go to Ripley's Believe It or Not Aquarium in Gatlinburg, do it. It is fantastic.


Not only does it have a shark tank that you walk through for almost half an hour:

and a touch tank with rays and horseshoe crabs:

but you can crawl INSIDE the tanks. Seriously.





AND a penguin habitat with tunnels leading into it:

It is completely fantastic. Those videos have gotten more playtime on my phone than any other since I got a smart phone 2 years ago.

Andrew made applebutter with Nana.

He is also singing more and more.

Andrew got to ride a horse with Papa. You can imagine how we have been talking about that.

Oh, and Uncle Tim knocked down a building in the backyard:

and drilled holes in the yard for a fence built by Uncle Pat, Papa, and Pagra:

and Uncle Mike built a playset:











and that is the end of what Andrew can think about. He is all playset all the time.

Is that not the most adorable dust ruffle ever? Sorry it's not such a good picture. I will take some better ones with my camera. All of this is getting me so excited about the Bartholomew shower Saturday. :)
