Andrew's best friend Sophie (and my best friend, Sophie's mommy) moved to Wyoming a month ago. Wyoming is FAAAAAARRRRR. But tonight, they decided they needed to talk and play alone in their rooms, just like old times.

I'm not sure if this makes me more happy or sad. I guess I choose happy.

Attempts at Christmas tree pictures

I wanted to take some pictures of Anna in front of the Christmas tree.  But I'm not the quickest with the camera like her brilliant Daddy.

It takes me a shot or two to get things the way I want it.

However, Anna has recently fallen in love with the camera.  Not in a "smile and be cute" sort of way, more of a "please give me that so I can slobber it" kind of way. (Of course, that's cute too)

My only strategy is to set her across the room and try to get the camera to focus on her while she cruises towards me.

Here she comes...

I finally figured out if I could get the coffee table between us, it would slow her progress.

Camping (sorta late)

I keep forgetting to blog about our camping trip with Scott and Lisa.

(This is unrelated but super cute. This is her "let's FaceTime someone" face.)



The day before we went camping we took Daddy up to Water Rock Knob.











It was great.

When we met up with Scott and Lisa, the first order of business was a hike. The park we stayed in was called Falls Creek Falls. There were lots of waterfalls. Sort of obvious I guess. Of course I didn't take pictures of them, only the admirers:
