I posted some of Josh's pics earlier on the trip. Here are some of my favorites from the week. If you want to see more, visit his website www.fleenorphotography.com
One of the best things that happened this day is that Terri, Bailey, Tony, and Josh were with us!
Andrew decided to try the big shovel.
We built a sand fort that lasted most of the day.
I think they look alike.
My mom dubbed these guys The Hunks of Sunset Beach.
Andrew really took to Bailey, as I suspect most kids do.
Andrew got really great at naming everyone at the house, even those who are asleep! (I realize this video is sideways. Sorry, phone glitch. Still totally blog-worthy)
The other great thing that happened on this day is that Maggie and Kylee came! Andrew loved hanging another little person to play with.
These are what I call a perfect Bartholomew family beach memories.
Thank you to all my wonderful, amazing, one of a kind family for making our beach vacation so fun and for loving our son so much. We will remember this week always. :)
For lunch we went to a seafood place and Andrew was introduced to hushpuppies:
We did other stuff besides playing in the water. The house had a wonderful screened in porch. Mom worked on baby blankets for a church projects.
Jen and I did lots of knitting.
I started a blanket that went from this:
to this:
in a day. So. Fun. :) Now that we are home I am finishing it up and Andrew is begging for it, trying to pull it out of my lap. Can't wait to give it to him.
Josh taught Marisa and Mickey to make friendship bracelets.
My sweet momma
Andrew named Mike "Unka" this week.
The porch was a perfect playpen.
We did miss Papa, Adam, and Robin after they left. Andrew really bonded with Dad. They had some long conversations about...something. Here is a demonstration of Andrew's improving coloring, plus, bonus! A story about Baby Mickey. :) It turns out poker chips are THE BEST vacation toy ever. Andrew thinks Mickey is the stuff. They de- and re-constructed the couch a lot this night. And when Daddy gets involved it always gets more fun.
