The end of summer

Josh and Andrew have taken up squirt gun fighting.

Papa had a birthday. We have a birthday almost every month so. Andrew is getting good at blowing out the candles.

We are getting to walk the lake with my friend Darsey in the mornings while she is on summer break. We love her. :)


Grandnana does a different version of Pattycake and it is his new favorite.

Josh got a new computer and it makes an awesome fort and coloring canvas.

Little boys are awesome (which is a word mine loves to say).

Dear Dalton's,

Thank you for being such a fun place to work and grow up.


Andrew and I will miss the sweet grandmas and aunts (and Brother Tyler) we saw when we came.

Thanks for sometimes being a place to be silly:

We made a fort with Aunt Sara this weekend.

He got really upset any time she left his sight.

He loves to call anyone.

Don't worry, we did eventually take him down to the lake.

It was Papa's birthday this week.

Adam taught him a really cool trick.

He comes running to me at the end because he wants to watch himself.

His language is really exploding.
(Words to listen for: train, boat, Minnie, robot, ball, and choo-choo. Also, at the beginning when he is holding his finger up, he is saying "one more" asking to watch a movie on my phone, or as he thinks of it, the video catalogue of everything cute he has ever done.)

In the last few weeks he has added 30-40 (mostly) intelligible words o his vocabulary. Super fun. :)




I love being his mommy. :)

Pizza picnics and other joys

My boys love me.

Mr. Mickey always does a great job entertaining Andrew at church functions.

Sunday we had a Pizza Picnic in our yard.

Andrew got to help Grandpa with the doggies tricks last week. It was a big deal to both Andrew and the dogs.

And now, lucky for us, Aunt Sara is home for the weekend!

Catch up

Andrew has done cute stuff since we got back from the beach. I have been too lazy to blog it.

He helped Grandma pick tomatoes.





The boy loves his corn these days.

Andrew was introduced to Pop Tarts at the beach. He makes a super mess of them.

Of course after that he looked like this.






He has to get a bath right after he eats them.
He is hilarious to eat with.

He is an excellent colorer these days.

All that coloring transfers to the utensils.

Ann and James came over for the weekend. Andrew enjoyed the potatoes that Ann got at the market.
One potato, two potato, three potato, four...

Turns out James is hilarious.

Also, I finally finished my beach blanket. Andrew couldn't wait for the last few rows.
