Lights and things

Yesterday we decorate Scott and Lisa's Christmas tree.

Grandma and Grandpa always get a big tree.

Really big.

Really, really big.

Also, the train set-up is finished, complete with some of my light-up houses, a whistle, and a tunnel.

We went to the parade with Sophie and Lindsey tonight.

There were many amazing floats, I'm sure, but I didn't see them because I was watching this:

And this:

There was a truck with a train whistle that totally fooled us for a second. (In this video the translation is "Train! I think I heard it. Grandma, lets go check it out")

Christmas is way more fun this year.

Talk talk talk

Hiccups are funny. :)

Andrew is really trying to say "I love you." It is starting to sound better.

YouTube Video

He can definitely say "Rocket"

My little helper loves to help Uncle Ben with the fire.

P.S. Like the brown sweater? It's the latest thing off the needles. I'm pretty pleased with it. It's really the little person inside that makes it.

More Christmas

We got to visit with Aunt Cayli while she was home for thanksgiving. We have been missin' her.

YouTube Video

The best Christmas surprise so far: Ben and Grandpa got Gradma Robins' train working. Lisa had this train around her tree as a little girl.

YouTube Video

We had a pretty awesome tree hunt last year:

But this year was even better!

He learned a new word too. He is amending "Emmy" to "Um-i-ly"

YouTube Video

He was very helpful as the boys cut off the extra branches.

And a bonus, Mac and Cheese Face!

Ooo, Christmas!

Rocketman

YouTube Video

For this video, some context: Abbey (Adam's new puppy) was outside on he porch, jumping up like a kangaroo to see in the window.

YouTube Video

"Smammy." Haha!

YouTube Video

When we put the tree up at my mom's, I tied the tree skirt on. Andrew came under the tree with me and said "Ooo! Christmas!" Turns out artificial trees make awesome Christmas forts.

YouTube Video

Before long he had us all in the fort.

YouTube Video

He loved hanging ornaments, but, um...

YouTube Video

It's gonna be a fun December :)

P.S. We heard that Andrew Page is going to be a big brother!!! Hooray! Betsy, can you hear us cheering here in NC? :D

Happy Birthday Daddy!, etc.

The claw-hammer hand is coming along:

Grandma and Grandpa brought Andrew moose antlers home from Canada.

We have all had this icky sort of cold that mostly just makes ou feel lousy. Observe:

It has been a Curious George sort of week. He was just too wiped to do much more than watch tv. So were we, actually.

Josh had a birthday. Andrew got him a Star Wars board book. He helped me wrap it. He chose two kinds of wrapping paper,

added tape,

and topped it with 4 bows.
Yes, 4.

We had a party at Grandma's on Sunday, but when Daddy came home from work on his actual birthday, Andrew and I had a surprise party waiting for him: a party table, banner, chips and cookies with candles.

Andrew thought having party food in his room in the middle of the night (8:45) was pretty awesome.

Josh said it was the best birthday party he ever had.

We have spent a lot of time at my mom's this weekend working on wedding stuff. Well, the big kids have been doing that. Andrew has been doing other things.

Today, the dining room table looked like this:

Everyone was working on something for the wedding. Andrew was working too, even if he wasn't working in quite the same direction:

Mustache baby:

There is lots to work on when you are almost two.

Catch up

Due to a frustrating experience with Best Buy, I have been without my brilliant blogging camera/phone for 15 days. So I have some catching up to do.

Uses #23 & #37 for pool noodles:

Sometimes Andrew gets so excited that that we have to practice some deep breaths:

Andrew copying Uncle Ben's post-dinner pose:

Two weeks ago we went to Raleigh and back and to Charlotte and back in the space of 6 days. Andrew logged a lot of time in the carseat and did awesome. We played some silly car games:

and he took some naps, with some head support:

At Pat and Lisa's Andrew got to see their chickens, which he thought was pretty awesome.

He makes our life so sweet. :)
